Bain first round interview schedule

Hi! New to PrepLounge with a quick question on 1st round interview invites at Bain, coming from a target school – does each office send out all their invites at once? i.e. if I haven't heard back since applying online, but know people that have, is this something I should be concerned about?

Hi there,

I totally get that you’re anxious but you’re not going to find the answer you want, I’m afraid. That’s because different offices have different processes for those things and we have no way of knowing.

Even if invites for campus recruitment were generally to be sent out all at once, there’s 100 possible reasons for exceptions to the rule.

Hang in there, you’ll hopefully hear soon! Until then, start generating more opportunities for yourself. Bain (or MBB for that matter) isn’t the only good place to work.

Best of luck!

Hi Anon!

I wouldn't worry. They will often schedule interviews in ‘tranches’, they will bundle a group for the first round of interviews. They will sometimes set up another tranch or two for different dates. This doesn't mean you won't get an invite!

It's largely so the HR teams can handle groups at a time

It is not unheard of for people to have invitations days or even weeks after others have been invited. If you are really concerned and if you have one of the recruiter's email addresses, it won't hurt for you to ask.

Best of luck for your preparation!

Hi Anon,

They definitely send it in tranches - usually to do with interview scheduling. I heard mine a week after a friend of mine did. Do not worry about it too much.

Good luck with everything!

Hi there,

They tend to send out in tranches (or in one initial batch). You should neither be concerned nor not concerned - it's out of your control!

Make sure you are continuing your case prep. Make sure you are continuing to network with and applying to other firms - all your eggs should not be in one basket!

Hi there,

No, people don't get the invites all the same time, so this doesn't reflect on your application. I'd wait a bit more and then reach out to the recruiter / HR and ask for an update on your application.

Best,

Cristian

Hello,

Don't worry about it - it's common to have interview invites sent at different times for different offices, and even for the same office, as it often will depend on interviewer availability. Hang in there and best of luck!
