1st round interview no response?

Hello all, hope you're well.

Recently interviewed 1st round interview MBB for internship. Was told I would find out by end of that week whether I was moving on. Haven't found out yet - it's been over a week. Followed up and sent email to hiring manager and interviewer, with no response. Should I assume I have been rejected? Or should I continue to case prep as though I will be moving on?

Appreciate any info!

There are quite a few people who are reporting similar things - don’t read anything into it. It’s the summer, people are on holiday and I think that the firms are being slow in a number of cases to get back to candidates. If they wanted to reject you they’d do so right away - this doesn’t mean anything. If you still haven’t heard by Monday next week then give the recruiter a call - but the lack of response really doesn’t mean anything.

Good luck!

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay, that is usually given that all people that interviewed you must submit their feedback and this can take long as everyone's agenda is extremely packed. So delay doesn't mean anything bad, it is just an organizational thing. Still, I would strongly recommend reaching out to HR and asking for an update and a new timeline.

Good luck

Lucie

Hi, I recommend texting/calling HR without worrying about bothering them. They are there to help.
And no, it's not a clear sign of rejection (in this case a quick email would have been sent)

Best,
Antonello

Hi there,

A week is still an okay time limit, especially during the summer when people are on vacation. During this time, things always tend to take a bit longer.

I would wait until next Monday and if you have not heard anything, I would call the recruiter personally. In the meantime, you should definitely continue the case prep.

Fingers crossed for a positive outcome!

Cheers,

Florian

Don't assume you didn't pass until you get confirmation, and keep preparing strong.
