Hi — I'm Matthew.
I'm a former Bain & Company consultant and Harvard Law School graduate.
I work with candidates who are serious about earning offers from firms like McKinsey, Bain, and BCG — people who don't just want more practice, but actionable feedback that improves their performance immediately.
I've also been on the other side of this process. During the recruiting process, I hired case coaches myself — which means I know firsthand what separates a session that actually moves the needle from one that doesn't.
My Philosophy
Here's the reality: most candidates aren't lacking effort. They're not lacking intelligence either.
What they're missing is clarity.
Clarity about what the interviewer is actually evaluating.
Clarity about why one structure lands and another doesn't.
Clarity about the subtle signals that communicate confidence, composure, and leadership.
When I prepared for consulting interviews, I spent countless hours casing. What ultimately made the difference wasn't volume — it was precise feedback on how I was thinking and communicating under pressure.
That's the experience I bring to every session.
What We'll Work On
Case interviews test a specific and learnable set of skills — and we'll build each one deliberately.
Frameworks that actually fit the case. Forget memorized frameworks. I'll teach you how to customize your frameworks for every case you encounter; that way, your approach feels natural and tailored rather than templated, making you stand out from the competition.
Mental math — fast and clean. We'll work through shortcuts and structuring techniques that let you move through quantitative problems quickly and accurately, without losing your train of thought under pressure.
Clearing slides and figures under time pressure. Most coaches skip this entirely. I don't. You'll practice extracting the right insight from exhibits quickly — because that's exactly what case interviews demand.
Answer-first, top-down communication. I'll train you to lead with your conclusion and structure your reasoning so that interviewers can follow you clearly from the first sentence.
Brainstorming with structure. We'll work on generating ideas that are both creative and organized — so you never go blank and never ramble.
Delivering recommendations that land. Your final recommendation is your last impression. We'll make sure it's crisp, confident, and decisive.
Case Materials
Many coaches rely on cases with no slides or figures — nothing like what you'll actually see in a real case interview.
I only use a small number of personally vetted cases with actual charts and slides that simulate the real case interview experience.
Your prep is only as good as your coach and the materials you practice with, and I take both seriously to give you the best coaching experience possible.
My Promise
I'm invested in every candidate I work with. When we work together, I bring the same focus and precision I'd want from a coach — because I know what's at stake.
Together, we'll close the gaps that matter most and put you in the best position to land an offer at your dream firm.
