Value Driver Trees for heavy industry

Hello community,

I am looking for cases that involve applying the value driver tree framework in heavy industry (mining and O&G). Can you someone guide me on some resources? I have R1 interview coming up soon and looking for some cases to crack.

Thanks,

Wasim

Hi Wasim,

We've already talked but just flagging here that I have 20+ industry deep-dives that include mining and O&G (and includes revenue and cost drivers), as well as a number of cases related to mining and O&G that I'm happy to take anyone through!

I even created an O&G case on Preplounge here! https://www.preplounge.com/en/management-consulting-cases/interviewer-led-mckinsey-style/advanced/mckinsey-digital-bcg-platinion-oil-gas-upstream-technology-196

could you clarify what you mean by value driver tree?

Starts at the KPI being measured, and then branches out in levers.
for example: profit branches out to revenue minus cost, and then revenue and cost each have other levers (value drivers).
