A couple of months ago I was rejected in the final round of Bain's process. In the rejection email they say "We really enjoyed meeting you and would love to stay in touch. Our next recruiting cycle will start in September, and we would be happy to see you apply again then, should you remain interested."
I am aware of the usual 12-18month ban period on reapplying, but was wondering if this line in their email is a genuine invitation to reapply or if it is just a nicety to make rejected candidates feel better but does not actually mean anything. Appreciate any further clarity on this. TIA!
