I’ve interviewed with McKinsey in both Asia and Europe before, and comparing my experiences, I felt that the cases I encountered with the Asian office this year were noticeably more difficult - particularly the graph and math portions.
I’m curious whether this is more of a regional difference, or whether McKinsey cases in general have become more quantitatively demanding recently.
Also, for anyone familiar with the interviewer side: how do McKinsey interviewers typically get their cases? Are cases assigned from a central case bank, do interviewers select from an existing pool, or do they usually develop/adapt their own cases based on projects they’ve worked on?
