While I don't have specific information on the salary increases at other MBB firms in the Middle East, it is not uncommon for firms to adjust their compensation packages in response to market dynamics and competition.

BCG's decision to increase salaries in the Middle East may have been driven by various factors, such as the need to attract and retain top talent, market conditions, and the firm's strategic priorities. However, it's important to note that each firm operates independently and makes its own decisions regarding compensation.

It is possible that other MBB firms may also consider adjusting their salaries in the Middle East to remain competitive. However, the timing and extent of any potential salary increases would depend on various factors specific to each firm.

To stay informed about any potential salary changes, I recommend keeping an eye on industry news, reaching out to current employees or recruiters at the other MBB firms, and staying connected with professional networks in the Middle East consulting industry.

Hi there,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • If BCG has implemented a significant pay raise in the Middle East region, it's quite probable that McKinsey and Bain will evaluate their salary structures to remain competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.

You can find more on this topic here: Salaries in the consulting industry.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

I heard this as well.

And not only in ME.

Yes, usually the other firms match quite soon. It's a first-mover advantage that maybe gives them a recruitment boost for a year but then soon disappears.

Best,
Cristian

They typically benchmark against each other so if one moves significantly, others will likely follow suit as they are competing for the same people

Hi,

I also heard the same from BCG, I would expect others MBB to adapt their salary strategy in order to keep their positionning.

Cheers,

Alexandre

If BCG raised, others are very likely to follow. Maybe not immediately, but in the next 6 months.

Hi there,

While we don't “know”, it is indeed likely that they will have to follow suit.

Hopefully you'll find out first hand :)
