Is it appropriate to ask HR about the recruitment process before applying?

Is it reasonable to email the recruiting teams at MBB and Tier-2 in Singapore to ask about their recruitment process before submitting an application?

I’d like to understand which online tests to expect, how many rounds of fit and case interviews there are, and whether there are any additional assessments. My aim is to prepare in advance, as the process could move quickly once I apply.

Would recruiters generally view this as a reasonable enquiry, or could it come across as high-maintenance or presumptuous to ask before passing CV screening?

Those are all things you can easily find online, including here on PrepLounge.

An email like that would not be held against you, but I am not sure they would even reply. My sense is that this is information they share with people already inside the recruiting process, because the steps depend on your seniority, your target office and other details, and they are unlikely to go through your profile in depth just to tell you what the process will look like.

So I would do the homework online and get properly prepared before you apply, because once you submit the application things can move quite fast.
