Inductive vs deductive reasoning in Bain SOVA test?

I know the SOVA has three parts (aside from personality): Numerical, Verbal and Logical.

Does the logical part include both inductive and deductive reasoning questions?

Great question!

Yes, the logical part of the Bain SOVA test includes both inductive and deductive reasoning questions. It assesses your ability to identify patterns, recognize relationships between ideas, and draw conclusions based on limited information.

But, it's important to note that the SOVA test is just one part of the overall recruitment process, and while it's important, it's not the only factor that determines whether or not you get an offer. So, make sure you prepare well for all aspects of the process and not just focus on the test.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Isn’t it just “find the next shape in the pattern sequence”? That is exclusively inductive reasoning.

Hi there,

First, remember that offices are different and things change. So, yes, you should be prepared for all 3 of those parts and for both inductive and deductive reasoning. That said, you may not face all of those parts. Hope that makes sense!
