I have an upcoming Final Round MBB interview in Los Angeles and was wondering if I should tell the senior partner who my interviewers are by name, just in case he knows them and could put in a good word. Do you think this is something worth doing?

I think it could be a good idea to share your interviewers' names with the senior partner, and ask whether he knows their background (e.g., specialization) and their styles, to be more prepared for the interviews.
I would be cautious to ask him to put in a good word though, unless he is really close to you. If I were in your shoes, I might leave that to him but not asking proactively.

I agree with Emily on this one. Knowing their backgrounds and focus areas can help you prepare for the case and fit part a bit better, as well as reflect on meaningful questions to ask them. Yes, that’s perfectly fine and often a good idea. Just mention it casually and professionally, for example, “I just received my final-round interview schedule and saw that I’ll be meeting with X and Y, just wanted to share in case you happen to know them.” If he does, he might reach out or give you tips. Keep it short and polite.

Asking him to put in a good word is against the firm's ethics and you'll likely get everybody in trouble. Please don't do it.
If you know the Sr Partner well, you can ask them about the interviewers, and this background might help with your prep, e.g., knowing that one of them really focuses on sustainability work, you might want to practice some public sector cases.

I think there is no harm is sharing the information. Perhaps this Sr. Partner had said "keep me in the loop and how things go" this could be your opportunity to do so. You could share the names and ask if he has any advice. However whatever he wants to do with that information is up to him, i would not make any suggestions.
