EY Parthenon interview process and case studies

Hi all,

Hope this finds you well.

I have recently submitted an application for SM/AD level at EY Parthenon. Will be starting interviews soon and was hoping to get some guidance from you folks on what is the current interview process looking like at EYP (with covid restrictions)? Would also love to hear your thoughts on what case studies should I be preparing ? Case study arena is vast and I want to double down on a couple of areas…

Further any suggestions on what resources/website to leverage for practise ? No information has been provided from the HR so far hence was hoping to get some intel from this group. If you have recently interviewed with EYP, please do share your experience.

Also new to the platform itself, hence would appreciate any tips/tricks

Thank you in advance

Hi there,

I used to be a recruiter for EY-Parthenon - and have coached several candidates - and I can tell you the process is pretty much dependent on the location as well as the specific team and role.

If it is a Corporate Strategy role, you should expect cases, with an emphasis on Market Entry, M&A and Integration, as transactions are a major driver of business there.

If it is a TSE role, it will be focused on experience / fit interview. Depending on the specific role (e.g. IT) you may also get technical questions.

Feel free to reach out if you want to discuss your specific situation.

So very helpful ! I am quite new to the platform. Wondering what is the best way to engage with yourself/other coaches. Is coaching session the only way out for basic questions ?

For basic questions you can of course send a private message. I am not charging for answering those (and I guess most coaches won't charge as well).

Hi there,

I recently helped a candidate who applied for a similar position in London. In his case, he had 5 interviews:

  • 1 standard interview fit+case
  • 1 written case
  • 3 interviews on fit only

(This application was for principal level, so that could be the reason why he did not get cases in 3 of the interviews. You may possibly have more cases).

If you need further help please feel free to PM me, I have a db with 15+ real questions asked at EYP.

Best,

Francesco

Thank you Frenchesco. Would you have any advise on what case studies to target and good resources out there ?

Hey, I helped someone in recent weeks get into EYP at SM level in their west coast office. Happy to provide insights, so feel free to send me a direct message.

I would like to know which office you have applied for, your background etc? EYP experiments with their process, so there isn't a lot of consistency across various locations.

Search the Q&A forum for tips on case study preparation- there is so much material!

Hi there,

You should expect a virtual interview (depending on office) and a number of fit + case portions.

In terms of cases, please don't overcomplicate this! You need to learn all case types. Learn to be flexible, get things you don't expect thrown at you, etc. Of course, with EYP you do want to make sure you have the financial services and PE/DD covered, but you generally don't need to focus on any specific case types other than learning how to react to any situation.

Best of luck and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!
