Best Imbellus guide

Hello everyone,

I've been invited to solve the Imbellus Game at McKinsey in a couple of weeks, and I'm looking for the best resources to prepare for it. During my initial research, I came across some guides offered by different coaches, including Francesco, Luca, and Florian from StrategyCase. I'm wondering if anyone has experience using these guides and can recommend one over the others.

I would really appreciate any thoughts or advice on this matter.

Hi there,

I think the best guide by far is by MConsultingPrep.

That's because…it's not a guide…it's the game itself! You literally get to practice playing the game…over and over again.

If you're looking for a guide (reading and instructions), I do think Francesco's is very well done and very in-depth.

Hi there,

For the guide itself, I'd recommend Francesco's.

However, I'd also recommend that you go beyond that and practice for the interviews at the same time as for the test. Basically, the skills that are tested for in the screening are the same ones you are sharpening when doing cases, with the added benefit that you also get better prepared for the interview part.

First of all, I think the McKinsey Solve simulation from MConsultingPrep is the most helpful resource you can get.
Moreover, while other, potentially realistic, theoretical guides might also provide some value, I think you would be able to find the tips included in them for free in other sources as well.
