Hi! A question like “How would others describe you?” is a nice chance to go beyond listing three strengths. You can show a bit of personality and back it up with feedback you’ve actually received. I’d keep it authentic and pick a few qualities that fit the role.

For example, you could say:
“People I’ve worked with would probably describe me as someone they can rely on, especially when deadlines get tight. In my last team, colleagues often told me they appreciated that I stay calm and organized even when things get hectic. They’d also say I’m curious and willing to jump into new topics, I’ve had teammates mention that I ask good questions and try to understand the bigger picture, which helped the team move forward.”

Hope this helps.

Hey There!

A strong way to answer this is to highlight qualities that others have genuinely recognized in you, and connect them to strengths that are valuable in the role. For example, you could say colleagues or peers would describe you as dependable and proactive, someone who takes ownership of tasks and delivers on commitments. This shows reliability and accountability, which are highly valued in fast-paced environments.

You could also emphasize being approachable and collaborative, with the ability to communicate clearly and work well in teams. Framing it this way shows that you’re not only capable on the technical side but also someone others enjoy working with.

To make it more convincing, you might briefly reference specific situations where you’ve received this feedback, which adds credibility and keeps your answer grounded in real experience.

If I think about how others might describe me, I’d probably say something along the lines of approachable and structured, someone who tends to stay calm even if things get a bit hectic.

But in general, in a Personal Fit interview it’s less about finding the “perfect” trait and more about picking a few qualities that feel true to you and giving a short example if you want. There’s no one‑size‑fits‑all answer here.

Hey!

You can answer this question by highlighting three to four traits that genuinely reflect how colleagues or supervisors would perceive you, supporting each with a brief example. For instance, you might say others would describe you as reliable, collaborative, and detail-oriented, explaining how your reliability shows in consistently meeting deadlines, your teamwork comes through in cross-functional projects, and your attention to detail ensures accuracy in complex analyses. This approach demonstrates self-awareness, credibility, and the ability to reflect on your professional strengths in a way that aligns with the expectations of the role.

I’d say others describe me as reliable, hardworking, and easy to work with. They’d probably mention that I stay calm under pressure and communicate clearly.

In a personal fit interview, I’d explain this shows I’m someone who supports the team, takes ownership, and can handle stressful situations—qualities that help me contribute effectively in banking roles. I’d back it up with a quick example to make it real.
