Hello!

I am wondering if anyone knows what are the steps of recruiting process at the Dubai office of Bain? In particular, what kind of test do they use? As I understand the test type differs from office to office. Would be thankful for any information!

Bain Dubai uses “Bain Online Assessment”, which is a 75 minute test convering Numerical, Verbal, and Abstract reasoning.

If you pass the test and the CV screening, you'll have the usual case interview rounds.

Hi there,

sharing some more info on the test - as Pedro explained, they use the Bain Online Assessment (BOA) in Dubai, which is different for the also common MC test.

BOA takes 75min - current structure is as follows..

  • Situational Judgement Test (SJT)
  • Numerical Reasoning
  • Verbal Reasoning
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Personality Questionnaire
  • Video interview

Feel free to reach out, if you'd like to know more about what to expect for each section and how to prepare.

Regards, Andi

Hi there,

The process tends to be 1) Application (ideally with a referral) 2) Screening (sometimes with a screening call, often with an online assessment) 3) Round 1 4) Round 2 (final)

You are very likely to get the Bain Online Assessment. Now, this totally depends on what role + channel you're recruiting for/through. For example, MBAers generally don't need to take the online assessment.

To prepare, go through as many practice tests as you can! Remember that you're training your ability to solve business/case problems in the context of a GMAT/GRE style question.

Good luck!

Hello!

First step is always passing the screening, CV and CL, for which a referal always helps.

If you pass, then you find the test, in this case, the Bain Assessment (prep with GMAT,for instance).

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara
