Hello, I already did the Solve Game - McKinsey and am waiting the results.
My questions are:
-Did everybody received the assessment or only the best resumes?
-The interviews in Spain are in English or in Spanish?
Thank you!

Hi there,
First of all, congratulations on the invitation by McKinsey!
I think this is an interesting question that may be relevant for many people. I would be happy to share my thoughts on it:
If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to address your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Best,
Hagen
HI there,
Congrats on doing the game!
Let me take your questions one by one.
-Did everybody received the assessment or only the best resumes?
It depends on the geography, but it's safer to assume that pretty much everyone receives them. Most offices review the results of the test together with the application documents (CV, cover letter and referral). Then they make a decision as to whether to progress you to the next stage.
-The interviews in Spain are in English or in Spanish?
The case will be in English for sure. Non-english speaking offices then tend to do the PEI part in Spanish, so make sure that you practice your stories in both language. Happy to support you especially on the PEI as that tends to be the critical part that candidates don't get right.
And good luck!
Cristian
Hi there,
1) Did everybody receive the assessment or only the best resumes?
It depends. In some cases they do CV pre-screening, in others (eg for candidates from some business schools) they send it to everyone.
2) The interviews in Spain are in English or in Spanish?
In countries where the national language is not English, they could do interviews in both languages.
Good luck!
Francesco
Hi there,
-Did everybody received the assessment or only the best resumes?
It depends on the office, role, recruiting channel, year, etc.
Don't worry about this - it changes nothing (what's done is done. You have to perform your best. You have no control over this)
-The interviews in Spain are in English or in Spanish?
They should be in Spanish but you should double-check with them.
Make sure you're starting your prep now! (Don't wait until you have an interview or it will be too late): https://www.preplounge.com/en/articles/pitfalls-case-interview-preparation
Hello!
Congrats!
To your 1st question, not everyone gets it, there is some filtering before (that you passed, congrats)
Interviews will be both in Spanish and English, and will be held online
Hope it helps!
Cheers,
Clara
Hi there,
To prepare, check out the articles I wrote on both elements of the McKinsey interview:

They pre-screen the CVs before sending the invitations. Meaning that if you were invited to the Solve Game you have a chance.
Regarding language, you really need to check with them to understand if they will assess both or not.
Hi there,
Let me help you out here:
Did everybody received the assessment or only the best resumes? Pretty much everyone received the assessment, not a good indicator of anything unfortunately.
The interviews in Spain are in English or in Spanish? Both, you must speak English and Spanish languages fluently.
Hope this helps. Best of luck!
