Mckinsey Middle East

Hi !

I applied to Mckinsey Middle East on July for the Associate position (Post MBA). At that time they mentioned in an online event that the deadline was July 12 so I applied. Since then I have never heard back. My application is still showing submitted on the website. Now, the same position is posted on my US School website to apply for the Associate position globally via the school system. I tried to apply again, I get a mesage that I already applied for the position and that my application is under review.  Should I withdraw the application that I submitted previously and apply again using both Mckinsey website and my school system ?

Thank you !

Hi there,

I completely agree with Vlad. You need to reach out to the on-campus recruiter to figure out the next steps. You should not withdraw your application without checking with them first.

Often, recruiters are hard to get in touch with, so see if you can get multiple contacts points. And, be (politely and patiently) persistent.

Agreed. If there is an on-campus recruiter at your school. If not, you can also reach out to the recruiter contact listed for your school system.

Hi,

I believe that it's a new batch that is posted on the school website. The best approach will be contacting the on-campus recruiter to clarify

Hi there,

I don’t see an advantage in withdrawing your previous application.

I recommend instead you look for someone internally that could gently “push” your CV to HR via referral, or at least give you some insider information.

You can find more on how to do that at the following link:

In terms of the delay: McKinsey is not recruiting much in the Middle East now – that’s probably the reason why you haven’t received feedback yet.

Best,
Francesco

Dear A!

I would recommend you to contact the recruiting of McKinsey in the Middle East to clarify the status of your application, and the best way of how you should proceed. Just Google their phone number or office number and give them a call if they're not responding to your emails. Otherwise, try to contact the recruiting Mckinsey in the US to clarify this situation.

Hope it helps!

Best,

Andre

Hello!

I would try to reach both McK recruiting and your Uni´s carreer office to clarify next steps.

Probably the 2nd one would be more responsive, but worth trying both.

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara

Hi Anonymous,

In such an important case like your McKinsey application I wouldn't speculate at all and potentially mess up something in the application system.

The only reasonable thing to do is grabbing your phone and calling your HR contact person to kindly inquire about your application and its status!

Hope that helps - if so, please be so kind to give it a thumbs-up with the green upvote button below!

Hi there,

You should definitely contact either HR or your on-campus recruiter. They might know the details and help you clarify the situation. Do not even hesitate and ask them for an update.

Do you need any further help?
