I did the RedRock today - to be honest, it is much easier than expected, EXCEPT for the time management part, which is very tricky.

I used only free resources but I think it is nothing like I did before. However, I don't know what the coaches think, but I heard a lot of people say that it was similar to GMAT IR, but I personally don't think so at all. There are numbers but it is much more about calculations than “interpretation”. The other test was the ecossytem.

How many time does McK takes to update candidates?

Hi there,

I agree that the time management part is probably the trickiest part of the Redrock – that's why most candidates cannot complete the 10 final cases.

In terms of your question:

Q: How much time does McK take to update candidates?

Usually they let you know within 2 weeks of the test but I also helped a few candidates who heard back after 1 month or more.

The response time is not necessarily correlated with the performance - I helped candidates who had to wait almost two months for an answer and passed.

Good luck!

Francesco

Hi there,

It can take as little as a few days to multiple weeks. Sit tight, keep case prepping, and keep applying to other firms while you wait!

Hi there,

Great to hear it went well! Hope you hear from them soon.

Usually, it takes anywhere between 1 day and two weeks (depending on the office, business cycle, number of candidates in the pipeline, etc.). Anything beyond that and it makes sense to contact the recruiter and ask for an update on your application.

Best,
Cristian

Dear candidate, the timing varies but soon is a good answer. You have done well. Tests are often time demanding. Focusing on your strengths and motivating yourself throughout helps a lot. Ideally have a grisp throughout through the timings, eg at beginning estimate your times per question/section, for revision, to do back-of-the envelope checks and check this time throughout. Also decide how many questions you definitely want to get right and check this throughout, too. Best regards, Pope
