My official contract has a quite a generous range for the IPB up to 28%. I wanted to ask how likely it is for junior/associates (since my contract says that I am going to transition from being a junior associate to an associate consultant by January) to actually receive any performance-based bonuses?
Individual Performance bonus (IPB) for Junior/Associate Consultant at BCG

Hi,
if it states that in your contract then you are also entitled to a bonus. How high the bonus will actually be depends on a few factors:
- Company performance during the prior year
- Your personal performance (at BCG measured in quintiles)
- Country where you are employed
Talk to some of your peers in your office and ask about their experience from the last year.

Hi there,
All consultants should receive performance-based bonuses.
If your contract lists a performance bonus, then, yes, you are considered here!
You will receive a performance bonus based on past performance and your role during tat time. Given bonuses are generally received in December and are counted by the work you did that past year, your bonus will be related to your JA role.

Hello,
Junior associates tend to receive bonuses just like any other role would. Generally, a performance-based bonus structure means that you receive a bonus, but the size of the bonus depends on your performance review. So yes, you are absolutely eligible for that bonus up to 28%.

Hi there!
All full-time roles receive bonuses.
So as a Junior Associate so should you.
My recommendation would be to ask some of your peers in the firm who were Junior Associates in the past. They should know the exact compensation structure.
Best,
Cristian
