Hi all, I graduated with a medicine degree and have been working as a junior doctor for around 2 years but am thinking of moving into management/strategy consulting and had a few questions that might help my decision:
- What would be the easiest stage for a doctor to transition into consulting? I have the option of doing a PhD in medical research at a top UK university - should I transition before or after doing a PhD?
- Would the PhD carry any weight like an MBA, or would I have to do an MBA on top of my PhD?
- Would having a PhD be reflected in any salary differences?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Cheers!
