I am an undergraduate engineering student (with a high GPA and “decent” softs) looking for some help on the Mckinsey/Bain application process. Initially, I am more interested in resume review and revisions as it is early in the recruiting season, and I want to get my resume through the door. Are there any coaches who have worked with students or fresh graduates?
Coaches for Undergraduate Students

Hi May,
Since we are already in contact, I am very much looking forward to our meeting.
Best,
Hagen

Hi May,
Q: I am more interested in resume review. Are there any coaches who have worked with students or fresh graduates?
Many coaches offer a CV review as part of their coaching and they have probably worked with students/new grads. You can see if there is an option for that on their profiles here.
For general CV suggestions, you can check this:

If you have additional questions please feel free to PM me.
Best,
Francesco

Hi May,
I have worked plenty and successfully with recent graduates and sympathize with the challenges of getting your career of the ground.
Happy to take a look at your resume for initial comments and take it from there.
Best,
Moritz
PrepLounge is not allowing me to message coaches directly unless they message me first, but does your resume review package include revisions beyond the first 30 minute session?

Hi May,
Absolutely! I work closely with universities to run workshops for their students. I also actively work closely with students/fresh graduates to get them ready for interviews.
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to be put in touch with some of them to see what their experience has been like! Always happy to have an intro call with you as well.

Hi May, happy to support anytime. Andreas

Hi Mai,
Yes, I've worked with plenty.
I can provide you with a template for the CV, a guide on how to write it, as well as examples of other CVs that have passed MBB screening. Then we can work with track changes back and forth until we reach the ideal version.
Have a read through this guide as well in terms of how to approach the recruitment process in a way that maximises your chances to land an offer: https://www.preplounge.com/en/articles/how-to-get-a-job-in-consulting-during-an-economic-downturn
Best,
Cristian

Hi there,
I would advise you to take a look at the overall coaches pages (under the coaching menu in Preplounge platform) and select according to
1) Experience and seniority in your target firms (Mck/Bain) and ideally your target geographi(es)
2) Perception of fit vs. their “written” approach to coaching
3) The impression after a first 15-mins call, where you will challenge them about their experience and success metrics in your specific segment of interest (e.g. undergrads)
Most of them have worked with very different types of applicants from pre-undergrad to experienced-hire.
Hope it helps.
Good luck for your process.

Hi May,
most coaches will be able to advise on this.
I personally have advised undergrad candidates from most regions and also used to be an MBB CV screener.
Feel free to reach out via PM and share your current CV so I can help you develop a tailored plan based on your specific needs.
Regards, Andi

I've worked with hundreds of new grads, both undergraduate and graduate. Really happy to help :-)

I would say that most experienced coaches have worked with undergraduate students in the past. I have.

Hi May,
I work with lots of current and recent graduates, and got into consulting at McKinsey right out of undergrad myself. I would be happy to work with you - feel free to reach out!
