Can I update application material after submitting it?

Hi,

I realized I have uploaded wrong documents and submitted the application . I logged in my portal and was able to update the new documents in my edit profile Section but not in the existing application. The deadline for application is Sept 7.

I was wondering if my existing application will be updated with new documents? I hope the recruiter doesn’t see my old documents.

Hi there,

This very much depends. If you can do it on the portal, great. Just make sure you don't automatically withdraw by going back to editing your application, which means you would have to resubmit.

Alternatively, reach out to whatever email address you have in relation to recruiting, attaching the correct documents. You wouldn't be the first one this happens to…

If you were able to update the materials inside the application once you have submitted it, you should be good to go. The recruiters will review the most recent documents.

You haven't even told us a firm/region…

I highly recommend you check with the recruiter and/or your referee at the firm.

Send an email/call and just ask if your updates have been reflected in the application or not.

These things happen - don't worry too much about it.

If you're unable to change the documents in the online application, email the recruiter with the new documents and explain the issue you had when trying to update them online.

Q: I was wondering if my existing application will be updated with new documents?

If the change is significant and you are not sure if the documents have been updated, you can send an email to HR, attach the new documents and ask if they can consider them instead.

Hi there,

this might depend a bit of the specific tool of whichever firm you're applying to. If not possible, it's ok to just reach out to the recruiter, explain the technical issue and see if they let you re-submit or hand in manually. Should usually not be a big drama, if asked the right way.
