Hi all,
I had my two first rounds interview with BCG for more than a week now, is it normal that I still haven't heard back.
Does this mean that I have already been rejected or on a waiting list?
Thank you.

Hi Yassine,
Q: I had my two first rounds interview with BCG for more than a week now, is it normal that I still haven't heard back. Does this mean that I have already been rejected or on a waiting list?
I don’t think you can deduct an outcome yet. There could be multiple reasons why the interviewers have not decided yet, unrelated to your performance.
Although I understand your desire to get a clear answer, the only thing you can do now is to act on what is in your control, that is (i) prepare for other interviews/ apply to other companies and/or (ii) wait for the results.
Good luck!
Francesco
Hi Yassine,
Are you part of an official channel/recruiting process (i.e. cohort/deadlines) or an experienced/external hire? This affects the answer.
Ultimately, the longer the time, the lower the odds. But, the odds are not zero until you officially here back.
Most important thing you can do after any interview is move on/forward. Keep networking. Keep applying. Keep interviewing.
Fingers crossed for you!
Hi Yassine,
First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with BCG thus far!
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:
You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.
If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Best,
Hagen
Hi!
Sorry that they're keeping you waiting.
1 week is absolutely normal.
I waited about 10 days after my final round.
So I totally empathise with you that these days of waiting are tough.
In case you haven't already done so, do send out other applications in case you don't get the answer you were hoping for. And in case things do work out, sharing with you a couple of articles on what makes consultants effective in their first year:
Good luck!
Cristian

Hi,
It has no meaning. As long as they know the answer (positive or negative) they say it.
Cheers,
Alexandre
Hi Yassine,
I'd say that up to two week response time is ok.
Ping them if you don't hear back by the end of this week.
Good luck,
Nick
Hi there,
Response times mainly depend on interviewers agenda. You can check how the recruiting process works from the company's perspective here:https://www.preplounge.com/en/articles/mbb-hiring-hacks-behind-the-curtain-secrets
