Q) Based on graph 1, what was the increase in sales of the top 5 players between 2003 and 2009? (a) 100% (b) 150% (c) 200% (d) 300%

Given the top 5 players account for 32% in 2003 so their share will be 32% x 38b = 12.16B

In 2009 the total share is 48%, their share will be 48% x 74 = 35.52B

So the total increase from 2003 to 2009 is (35.52 -12.16)/12.16 =192%

However, the answer given is D

Hi there,

Assuming that there is no additional information, I come to the same conclusion as you i.e. 192% increase.

Even if you focus on certain product categories separately i.e. home appliances and furniture, you won't get to 300%.

Where are the problem and solution from?
