I applied as Associate consultant for Bain Madrid.
After 1 month HR invited me in doing an online assessment.
Do you have some suggestions for passing it?
Does it mean that my Resume is not strong enough?

Hi there,
Congrats on getting invited to the test!
Let me take your questions one by one:
Do you have some suggestions for passing it?
There are multiple examples online of the test as well as guidance on how to pass it. High-level it's testing for the basic skills that you would need to display in the actual interview as well, so as long as you've been preparing for cases, you shouldn't have an issue. Aside from this, it would be useful to practice some mental / quick maths to give you an edge over other candidates.
Does it mean that my Resume is not strong enough?
No. Why are you assuming that? The fact that it took them a month doesn't have anything to do with how good your resume is. It's likely that they were just very busy now at the start of the year.
Best,
Cristian
Hi there,
This has not been send to you because your resume is not strong enough.
Honestly, all of these online tests are very similar
Format? Somewhat different. Content and what's required from you ability-wise? Not at all different.
The best way is to really find online tests / questions and practice. Regardless as to whether is a new or old test, the principles are mostly the same:
Think of it as a merge of a case and the GMAT/GRE.
You need to be clear on some key case-related and account formulas (margin, growth, breakeven, etc) as well as be good at critically understanding the question (including nuance to questions) and parsing through complicated text with a fair amount of distraction.
You'll also need to be good at chart/graph reading.
The (old) McKinsey PST, BCG Online Test, Bain SOVA test, etc. are all quite similar so leverage resources across all of them.
Hi there,
First of all, congratulations on the invitation by Bain (and as such answering your second question)!
I think this is an interesting question that may be relevant for many people. I would be happy to share my thoughts on it:
If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare your upcoming Bain interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Hi there,
Congrats, you are moving on in the process!
