Hi there,

With some exceptions such as Middle East, I don't think the experience hire recruitment will start anytime sooner than January, but depends on the market developments.

I am a Consultant at Bain & Company and incoming MBA student at INSEAD with prior experience on recruiting interviews

Hello, it depends on the region where you're applying. Typically, Bain doesn't restrict the application process to certain months. The process is generally open year-round and there are several intake cohorts for joining the company.

I’m applying to the London office. If you look at their website, it says that applications are closed for experienced hires.

If you want, send me a LinkedIn message and I'll try to reach the London office to see what I can do. Best, Marc

Hi there,

Pretty important to indicate role + region when asking this type of question!

That said, in general, Bain is really limiting hiring.

I see another answer here that indicates Bain is hiring experienced hires in the Middle East. From a direct source, my information tells me this is not the case.

From what I'm hearing around pipelines/expectations, beginning of next year *should* start picking up.

Remember, networking is critical not just for getting intel/info on timelines but also in greatly increasing your chances of getting invited to interview:

Hi there!

No idea. The only people who know are the recruiters. Sometimes even they don't have sufficient visibility.

I'd still reach out if I were you and ask them for an update.

In the meantime, try to identify other firms and roles that would be relevant for you. Here's how to build this sort of application strategy that enables you to minimise risk:

Best,
Cristian

Hi there,

Q: Does anyone know when Bain will be open for experienced hire applications?

This depends on the region you are targeting and the role you are applying to. In general, the best way to know this is to find someone internally who can refer you and update you on the recruiting situation.

Hi there,

Probably the most efficient way to know this is networking with Bain consultants in the region you'll like to apply to get some information.

Good luck!
