Hi,

I applied in multiple job position in Bain since few months ago. However, I didn't receive any emails or calls that my application is in progress or not. I checked carrer page as well to know the status of my application but there is nothing mentioned except application submit or withdrawal.

How can i know my application is in progress or not?

We can only speculate.

Your best bet would be to reach out to HR/recruiter - or try to get a status update through your referee in case you had a referral.

Typically a ‘few months’ is a long window. It is only possible in cases without a referral where your application goes into a long and unwanted queue. Best to remind HR.

Hello!

That doesn´t surprise me unfortunately, and I agree is super frustrating. Try to reach out to HR, that is your only option.

Cheers,

Clara

At this point it makes sense to reach out to HR at Bain to get a status update.

An alternative solution might be to withdraw your application, get a referral (ideally from a partner) and re-apply with the referral thereby increasing your chances of being invited to interview.

Best,

Hi there,

First of all, I am deeply sorry about your experience with Bain!

This is indeed an interesting question which is probably relevant for quite a lot of users, so I am happy to provide my perspective on it:

  • First of all, I would advise you to log in on the Bain recruiting website and have a look at your applications since they should be listed there. You will most probably not find about the detailed status, but you will at least see whether they reached the internal systems or not.
  • If it has been months since you have applied with Bain, I would advise you to call the recruiting department and ask about the status of your applications. Processes with most consulting companies have slowed down in the last years yet you should at least have received an application confirmation e-mail (please check your e-mail spam folders first).

In case you want a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare your upcoming Bain interviews, please feel free to contact me directly.

I hope this helps,

Hagen

Hi there,

Unfortunately you cannot. You just need to wait. Try, as best you can, to focus on things you can control, not things on which you have no impact :)

If you're really desperate, reach out to whoever referred you or HR.
