I just passed the two first rounds for RB yesterday and I did not receive any feedback from HR and after emailing them they have been non-responsive. Is it okay to email my interviews (a principal and project lead) for feedback directly since my Final round is tomorrow?

Hi there!

Congrats on passing the first rounds!

If you've already emailed HR and they didn't answer, I wouldn't chase now the actual interviewers. It might come across as pushy. Plus, I would safely expect that they are also very busy (not only HR).

What you can do is to reflect on your own on:

  1. What went well during the interview?
  2. What did you feel could've gone better?
  3. Why?
  4. How are you planning on approaching these developmental areas differently in the next interviewer?
  5. Where can you invest the remaining hours until the interviewer to improve the most?

Best of luck tomorrow!
Cristian

Hi there,

Do not send further emails regarding feedback.

Potential upside: You get minimal/mostly unhelpful/generic feedback

Potential downside: You are too pushy and take away your chances of getting an offer.

The reality is that the most likely outcome is neither of the above…i.e. nothing happens and you've just wasted time.

Focus on your final round!

If you want feedback and want to improve your casing, get a coach! In general (but not always), the interviewer feedback isn't great nor is it actionable.

Here's some reading to help you prepare for the next round :)

Hi there,

Q: Is it okay to email my interviews (a principal and project lead) for feedback directly since my Final round is tomorrow?

I would not recommend doing so, given you already reached out to HR.

The potential benefit is that you get some feedback. However, if they provide feedback via email, most likely it will be generic and not actionable.

The downside is that they might forward your request to HR, and you might come across as pushy since you have already reached out, which could leave a negative impression

Good luck with the final!

Francesco

Hi there!

So they told you that you passed the round but they did not give you any feedback about it, correct?

If so, according to my experience, I would avoid emailing your interviewers. They probably have extremely full agendas and won't have time anyways to answer your email.

I have done interviews for various consulting companies in Italy and it happened to me various time not to receive appropriate feedbacks between different rounds of interviews (even in MBBs).

If you really want to get a feedback, you could try again with HR by sending a gentle reminder. However, I would suggest you to work on self-evaluation in order to identify the weaknessess point of you past interviews (I am quite sure you can have a pretty good guess about them). You can then do some final work on those in order to get ready for your next round.

With you super good luck and happy to answer to other doubts if you need help!

Best,

Francesca

When you pass you don't always get additional feedback.

I would advise against reaching out to your interviewers.

Hello,

I agree with others here - since you've already reached out to HR for feedback, I would advise against reaching out to your interviewers too lest you come across as pushy. Good luck in the final round!
