Admitted to McKinsey Next Generation Women Leaders

Hello all,

I am admitted to the next Mckinsey NGWL program. Do you know what kind of workshops will we attend? Do we have to solve a case during this program? After the program are my chances for an interview bigger? Do you have any tips?

Best regards,

Hey there,

Congrats!

1+2. Usually, such events consist of several parts:

  • Official McKinsey introduction
  • Several workshops for domain-relevant and current topics
  • Problem-solving deep dive, where you will work on a case or parts of a case
  • Socializing with dinner & drinks

3. Yes, provided you make a good impression during the event an interview invitation is almost guaranteed.

4. Be curious, enjoy the event. Make sure to talk to people (other participants and McKinseys). Ask a lot of questions. For the problem-solving check this article: https://www.preplounge.com/en/articles/mckinsey-interview

Cheers,

Florian

Hi there,

Congrats!

The workshops are likely to be consulting focused (frameworking, presentation, topics of today, etc.). Regardless, they should tell you soon enough!

Yes your chances are bigger as a result. Make sure to network and build connections while you're there - everyone there is a potential person who will go to bat for you during the application/interview process!

Importantly, enjoy and learn as much as possible!

Hello!

You are going to have a total blast, congratulations!

You don´t need to prep for anything, just go there with an open mind, rested (coz it´s suuuper intense) and willing to learn a lot and have a good time.

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara
