Friends with experience interviewing at Kearney (US): after the first round of interviews (behavioral and case), when should one expect to hear back about the result?
People In KEARNEY
Hey,
At least for the post-MBA role, the average wait time in the US for Kearney from my friends was 1-2 weeks (with the median probably closer to one week), so I expect something similar for the junior roles.
However, keep in mind that the last few weeks have been weird; firms might still be trying to assess the impact of the new geopolitical happenings on staffing needs.
In any case, I would write back after 15-20 days if you have not heard anything :)
Best,
Tom
There is no fixed timeline. The average gap between steps is around 14 days, so expect to hear back within 1 to 2 weeks after your first round. The overall process from application to offer takes about 33 days on average, though it can range from 2 weeks to 3 months depending on the office.
If you are past the 2 week mark, send a short email to your recruiting contact asking for an update. One or two lines is enough.
No response does not mean a rejection. Recruiting teams just get busy.
Usually quite fast.
At Kearney, after first round, you can typically expect feedback within a few days up to ~1 week. In some cases it can stretch a bit longer if there are internal delays or scheduling constraints, but it’s generally quicker than many candidates expect.
If it’s been more than 2-3 weeks, it’s perfectly fine to send a short follow-up to HR.
Also, don’t read too much into timing — faster or slower doesn’t necessarily mean positive or negative.
hey there :)
for Kearney in the US, you typically hear back within a few days up to about one week after first round, often it’s quite fast if they’re keen on you
if it takes a bit longer, it’s usually just coordination internally and not a bad sign, so I wouldn’t worry too much
if you haven’t heard anything after ~7 days, a short polite follow-up is totally fine
happy to help if you want to draft that message
best,
Alessa :)
There's no 'Kearney-specific' timeline. Typically, in most markets, you hear back within two weeks. But it can take longer. If you get to the one-month mark, it's definitely late and you should follow up.
Best,
Cristian
Hi there,
Normally a few days, but 1-2 weeks max. If you haven't heard within ~1.5 weeks you can reach out to HR!
I was answering to 1st-to-2ndRound wait time! The geopolitical implications might mean that they’ll keep you waiting a bit more before the 2nd round. Hope this clarifies :)
