Happy to share more based on the Saudi folks I met while I was in the US. 

The reality is that it depends on whether you are a Saudi national. If you are, I think all the classical MBB pipeline colleges in the US (M7 + Berkeley, Dartmouth, Duke, Cornell, Michigan, Yale, NYU) will give you a fairly high chance at an interview in Riyadh at 1-2 MBBs if you have a solid resume. If you are not, it might be tougher as you would need to explain a reason why you are interested in working there.

In Europe, same goes for LBS and INSEAD.

Then, passing two rounds is never easy. In any case, MBA students are typically very open in sharing their experience. My suggestion is reaching out to them on LinkedIn :)

If you’re targeting MBB in Riyadh, INSEAD is clearly the strongest option, its Middle East footprint is just on another level, and the alumni network there is extremely active and well-placed.

After that, I’d group LBS and the US M7 in a second tier, all place into the Middle East, but typically with less density.

Then as a third tier HEC Paris and NYU Stern (which has a campus presence in Abu Dhabi) can still get you there, but outcomes are less consistent and more dependent on your individual push.

Top firms list their target schools on their websites, worth checking those directly. The usual ones for MBB are the M7 in the US (HBS, Wharton, Stanford, Booth, Kellogg, Columbia, MIT) plus INSEAD, LBS, IESE, IE in Europe.

That said, do not get too hung up on the school list. If you are not from one of these schools you can still have a shot - What matters is bringing strong relevant work experience and skill sets, and being able to network with the right people in the office to get a foot in the door.

Good question — for MBB in Riyadh, the logic is actually quite straightforward.

They don’t recruit from “Riyadh-specific MBAs.” They recruit from top global MBA programs, and then you target the Middle East office.

The main feeders are:

• INSEAD → probably the strongest pipeline into Middle East (very large class, historically strong presence in the region)
• London Business School → very strong for both UAE and KSA
• IESE Business School → also places well into the region

Then top US schools:

• Harvard Business School
• Stanford Graduate School of Business
• Wharton School

These also work very well, though the path to the Middle East may require a bit more intentional networking.

A couple of practical points:

• INSEAD is often the most direct route for Middle East MBB (scale + proximity + alumni network)
• LBS and IESE are also very strong and often slightly more flexible geographically
• US MBAs are top-tier but less “default” for KSA — still very possible

What really matters is:

• getting into a top program
• performing well there
• networking early with the Middle East offices
• being clear on your motivation for the region

There’s no “secret MBA” for Riyadh — it’s more about how you use the platform.
