IC Investing and wealth management or LSE finance and risk

Hello everyone, I’ve got 2 offer between IC investing and wealth management and LSE finance and risk. I am struggling with it. The workload in IC is heavier than LSE but IC has higher QS ranking.

I’m not sure to go for finance or banking department 100% in the future, some tech company like apple or Tencent also in my consideration.

Thanks for answering, all the opinions will be helpful to me

Hey there

Both are great options, but the decision depends on your priorities. If you value brand strength and global prestige, LSE Finance and Risk will likely carry more weight, especially across different sectors including tech. It’s more flexible for future roles in both finance and tech, and the network is incredible. IC’s Investing and Wealth Management is also strong, but a bit more niche and finance-focused.

Since you're not fully set on banking and want to keep doors open to companies like Apple or Tencent, LSE may give you broader opportunities.

Happy to help you think this through further in a coaching if you’d like

Hi there

They're both great options.

At the end it comes down to a) what is it that you imagine yourself doing long term and b) which one brings you closer to this

For a), spend some time reflecting and figuring out with  80% confidence level what you feel more inclined to do. Try to be honest with yourself.

For b), have a chat with 2-3 people who have graduated from each program (I know it takes some work to find them and schedule calls but it will be totally worth it) and figure out how the programs align with your long term goal.

Hope that helps!
Best,
Cristian
