Just like the question says, I wonder if there is a difference between the two. And also, is there a difficulty difference depending on the region (e.g. SEA vs NA)? Thanks
Bain vs McK vs BCG: Which has more difficult maths ?

Hi,
The math is independent on the region; it's depending on the case and interviewer. Based on my experience, I would tend to say the math at BCG can be a bit more difficult, but difference is small.

Probably Bain. For SoutheastAsia

Hi there,
There really is no difference, or at least not at a level that is statistically significant.
Each firm has its own case library.
They each have a very similar 'ideal candidate' in mind.
And for each firm, there are then adjustments based on region, and role requirements.
None of them has 'simpler' maths.
In effect, the maths component is not the difficult one in the interview. The focus should go rather into learning the skill of working with the interviewer through the maths, co-creating the approach with them, the same way you would do with a client.
If the maths is concerning you, you might find this guide helpful:
Best,
