General Appraoch - my journey to consulting was not easy, and I appreciated the contributions that many people made towards achieving my own personal goals. That's why I take these interviews and coaching sessions very seriously, showing genuine care towards your ambition and appreciation for the time and effort you are putting towards this. I work with my heart in hand and see this job as a way of 'giving back', because my achievements are also the result of the help/support I got along the way (some times from strangers that were 'giving back' at the time).
Interviewing Approach - For individual/one-time sessions, I tailor the focus based on your request via an initial conversation - I will ask for your casing experience, areas of strengths and weaknesses, work experience, academic expertise, prior feedback received, goals and ambitions, and for your own personal assessment of where you stand. Subsequently, I will schedule and prepare for your session with that in mind.
For multiple sessions, I would hope to establish a personalized plan that we co-create while being results-driven and personality-sensitive. I would like to learn about your target/goal, your personality, and the same information aforementioned before setting up a plan to achieve it. I will do so to the best of my ability and promise that effort and commitment.
Feedback Approach - after every session, I will tailor the feedback based on what is required in the consulting industry and geography you are applying to. The feedback will be applied on a skill-basis, performance-basis, personality-basis, and will be relevant to the company and geography if I am familiar enough with it. If there's a gap in my knowledge and understanding, I will do my best to either research it and circle back with you or refer you to a peer that would be of better value. My feedback will be as detailed as possible, and will be sincere. I will also promise honesty and transparency. Finally, my feedback will always include positive reinforcement.
