I have taught led the consulting career prep at Cornell since 2015, leading to record numbers of offers from top consulting firms, increasing by 170%. I was a law student when I interviewed for McKinsey in the middle of the recession, and prepared by doing only the four cases publically available on the firm's website. Later, when I interviewed candidates from business schools and advanced-degree programs I realized how unique my approach had been- though I was less polished in some ways than the typical MBA who might have done dozens of cases, I had certain unique advantages that came from not applying a cookie-cutter approach to the problem. My goal with every student is not to make them sound like me (if everyone did, it would no longer be an advantage), but to help them identify their existing problem-solving strengths and sharpen those so that the interviewer can easily see what the candidate would bring to a team. I want to help you become a better communicator and problem-solver, so that interviews are easy. I believe in quality of preparation over quantity- if you're doing 100 cases, you're doing them wrong.
