How do I find the right interview partners for me?
What does “Reliability” mean?
A user’s reliability score is based on completed meetings, missed meetings (no-shows), last-minute cancellations, punctuality, and whether someone leaves a meeting early. If it says “N/A,” it just means we don’t have enough data yet to show a reliability score for that user.
What do the different experience levels mean?
They show how many cases a person has already done:
- Beginner: less than 10 cases
- Intermediate: 11–30 cases
- Pro: more than 30 cases
What if I can’t find any interview partners who speak my language?
Try using the search bar and type in your language or location. PrepLounge has over 513,000 users worldwide, so there are people from many regions and language backgrounds. The filter only shows the most common options, but you’ll definitely find someone through the search.
How can I best contact potential interview partners?
If you see a profile you’d like to connect with, just click “Send message.”
Not sure what to write? Here’s a simple message to get you started: “Hey! Your profile really matches my interview preferences, and I think we’d be a great fit. I’m still early in my preparation and feel like I could learn a lot from practicing with you. Would you be interested in a mock interview together?”
What if my interview partner is much more experienced than I am?
That’s no problem at all – actually, it’s a great opportunity! Experienced partners were once beginners too and know how it feels. You’ll get to learn from their approach and gain new insights. Especially during feedback, they can often give really helpful and specific advice.
What happens if my interview partner doesn’t show up?
It can happen occasionally. Give them a few minutes and try sending a quick message – you can do this directly in the meeting room. If no one shows up, you can report them as a “No Show.” Don’t worry – we’ll take care of it and make sure you can schedule another meeting soon!
