What to do after the partner interview?

Partner Interview

Hi

I just had a partner interview case.

The partner thanked me for the pleasant interview and said the case was OK, I do have the capabilities they are looking for. But, they still have to assess other candidates and will inform me after all the interviews, which will be in a few weeks.

How should I interpret this? And what could I do to increase my chances? My gut feeling says that I made a good impression. For example: should I just add this partner on LinkedIn or should I write a personal message with my request to make an additional good impression. Or would that be too obvious/desperate?

Thanks for your insights.

All you can do now is give it space and you may hinder your chances by trying to do something else and coming off as uncalibrated.

It is reasonable to add your interviewer on LinkedIn but I would do so more with a view of long term networking rather than for this specific opportunity (and so maybe wait until after you receive news on the outcome before doing so).

Hi there,

Feedback like this is a very good sign and I can confirm it is not shared so many times :-)  on the other hand you dont have full evaluation…. I would MAX send an thank you note on email/Linkedin, but dont overdo it, as there is now not much you can do rather than wait.

Good luck!

Lucie

Hi there,

You shouldn't interpret this. It's honestly impossible to know.

I would not add them on LinkedIn. There is nothing you need to do here other than wait!

I think the partners response is very common from any (good) interviewer.  It's great that they gave you feedback on the spot but did not give away the outcome considering the process.

I would stay put.  If you genuinely want to be connected over linkedin then I see no reason not to.

Fingers crossed!

Hello!

I think that is very personal: up to you completly to send a thank you note after (nothing more than this).

Cheers,

Clara
