Does MBB offer 'search time' when you want to move out or is it only McK that offers this? Do you need to have completed a year at the firm before you are eligible to use search time?

Hi there,

Generally they do. I was aware of that policy within my firm + office which provided several months of time AND supporting resources. Of course, you need to find out for yourself.

Now, I went about figuring this out very carefully. There were company documents/resources on the internal company website. I also knew someone else who was planning to leave so we were able to support each other.

Personally, I did not take the search time route because it doesn't look great. Do it if you want/need to, but also think about whether you can do it without alerting everyone!

Hello!

Best would be if coaches from BCG and Bain here can answer -and you can if not ping them directly via PM-.

In McK, I can confirm that is very common to have it -they do help you a lot to go out well-.

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara

Highly depends on the firm - personally have not seen this as prevalent in Europe vs the US. Contact HR.

Yes, they do. But the details depend on firm and office, so you'll need to inquire with somebody in your network for the details.
