It could truly be anything, but yes it may be technology themed. Some themes that are in

Hi there, 

I am an experienced hire at BCG, fenced at a specific competence center and my interview cases were typical generalist type cases (e.g. market sizing, introduce portfolio, profit, etc.). You may get one case from your expertise, but I wouldn't count much on it. 

My interviews were: FIT, exploration about my expertise (but not case, more exploration - very out of the box type, one you wont get in the industry - questions), business case.

It's hard to find real Tech/Digital cases so I created a few:

• Database design (Centralized vs decentralized, sharding, factors influencing the number of replicas - the volume of data, future scale, growth, data structure, desired speed, etc)
• Security (encryption basics, password change policy, cloud security and encryption on your computer)
• Agile and development (Agile principles, Environments: Developing, testing, production, Native apps / web apps / hybrid apps, etc)
• M&A and IT (Will it be one system or two systems? Is it "Adopt and go" approach or we take the best of both systems and create a new one? Integrate now, innovate later? Or Innovate now, when you have time?)
• IT strategy and Digital transformation (Similar to M&A)
• IoT (Mainly the use of IoT in operations - Process steps completion, measuring temperature, maintenance measurements, other measurements, predictive algorithms, etc)

In my DigitalBCG interviews (both first and second round) the cases were not extremely technical. I would say that they usually take classic consulting cases and try to add a technical touch to it. The interviews I had were related to:

• Digitalization of postal company
• Market entry of Uber
