I have got to know that MBA graduating students are exempted from aptitude test in MBB especially in McKinsey and BCG, they just have to pass the game & CV screening stage to get a call for interview. Is this true , any views ?
Problem Solving game

I thinking you are mixing some steps here.
McK has switched over almost entirely to Imbellus and BCG is also transitioning almost entirely to the online case. If you go through these two - there will not be other additional screening tests (such as the aptitude tests you mention in your question).

Not exactly. MBA's doing on campus recruiting on a top school may not have to do a test. Everyone else usually has to do a test (some exceptions to experienced hires as well, depending on their specific experience).

Hi there,
In the US at least, yes this seems to be the case. Just be careful to not “expect” anything though. These situations always change across time, region/office, role, etc. so it really is a moving target.

Yes for now but don't count on it. That being said the problem solving game is not that difficult and enjoying it is a good indicator you will like aspects of consulting too.

Hi there,
MBA grads still have to do the Problem Solving Game at McKinsey and the BCG Online Case, at least in some offices. If you are an experienced hire though you may not have to do them.
In case you need to prepare, you can find some resources here (full disclosure – I am the author;) )
