Any exmaples of what kinds of market sizing cases OC&C would ask?
OC&C Market Sizing Cases

Hi there,
First of all, congratulations on the invitation from OC&C!
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:
- I would highly advise you to be prepared for anything. As you seem to be applying to US offices, an understanding of the dominant industries in that state might help you a bit to anticipate what they might ask, though.
You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.
If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Best,
Hagen

Hi there,
Be prepared for anything.
First, learn about the different approaches (bottom-up, top-down, population-based, constraints, etc) and concepts (e.g., replacement rate, growth, etc), then practice with a variety of questions.
You can find tons of questions online or you can just create your own on the spot by thinking about a product/service/event and a geographical region, then estimating market size/occurrence.
Cheers,
Florian

Hi there,
OC&C market sizing cases can vary, but examples might include:
- How many Airpods are sold annually in the UK?
- What is the size of the European superfood market?
- How many gym memberships are sold each year in the US?
- How much money does ChatGPT make?
While these are just examples, cases can vary widely. I recommend creating your own market sizing cases to train your brain and build confidence in solving them.
Let me know if you have any further questions, happy to help.
