I am looking to find cases about metals mining. Can anyone direct me to some casebooks that have such cases?

Also, if anyone has any good resource to read about this industry (except the consultancy's website's) please let me know.

Dear future consultant,

Based on some years of mining experience in South America, where some of the biggest mining companies are based, I would recommend the following sources to be more familiarized with the industry:

- Finantial Times: use the filters and look up for mining and its trends

- Mckinsey quarterly

- BCG perspectives

- Google: you will find several paid and unpaid reports

Event tough this information are not direct cases, reading news is very benefitial to find out what is relevant in the industry, the key success factors, trends, industry dynamics, main competitors, etc. This will definitiley will help you to be better prepared during your interviews and specially when structuring the case. I have used this approach with several industries I was not familiarized with outstanding results during the interviews.

There are other specialized sources but they are expensive and it would not add value for the interviews stage.
