Hello everybody,

I have applied for the Business Analyst role with Mckinsey a month ago and followed up yesterday and they told me that they will get back to me by 30th October which means in the next 2 days.

Does it mean that I have already got rejected because they have mentioned in one of their emails that I need to complete the Digital Assessment test by 1st November if I successfully passed the initial stage?

Hello!

I think you are stressing out before time, does not have to mean anything at all.

Wait until the 30th, and then see. Only follow up if you don´t know anything by then.

Good luck,

Clara

McKinsey offers w/o final round interviews - 100% risk-free - 10+ years MBB coaching experience - Multiple book author

Hi Anonymous,

This would be pure speculation - it can be as well just an administrative shift of the timeline during this unusual times. Impossible to say just because of this date constellation - no need to be worried yet.

Hope this helps - if so, please be give it a thumbs-up with the upvote button below!

Hi there,

If we tell you yes, what will you do?

If we tell you no, what will you do?

I totally understand your concern, but I highly recommend you learn the practice of not worrying about that which you cannot control....you're going to need this in consulting!

I recommend not worrying about this until Nov 1 :)

Bain | passed >15 MBB interviews as a candidate

Trying to read anything in communication behavior is pointless. Don't stress yourself over this, as any other response you'd be getting here would be pure speculation.

I wouldn't make any guess, because it may mean nothing.

I hope everything is going to be al right.

Cheers,

You wouldn't know and no point fretting about it. Relax and see what comes on 30th Oct. Whatever the outcome, keep the stress away. Life is just too short to worry much about these things :). Enjoy the process and right things will happen for you.
