Hello everyone,
I hope you all are having a nice day.
Which US offices are easy to get in and currently hiring?
Will they accept the application (via referral) if I need a visa?

Hi there,
You can relatively easily identify “hard” offices – the ones where there is more demand (eg New York, San Francisco).
However, it is very difficult to predict which office will be “easy”. The reason is, it depends on the match between demand and supply. Realistically, only someone working in that particular office can advise on what is the current situation right now.
Even for those offices, you need to reach a minimum bar anyway to be considered.
In terms of which offices are hiring, I recently helped people for the following ones for MBB in the US:
In terms of visa, the best thing would be to reach out to HR.

Hi there,
Please don't approach applying with the mindset of "Which US offices are easy to get in".
None are easy! Furthermore, do you really not care about what city you're in? Being miserable in the city in which you work, because it doesn't fit your values, almost gaurentees burnout!
Apply where you have genuine preferences and have networked. That said, NYC tends to be the hardest.
Also, most offices are hiring now...there is a boom occuring from overly restrained hiring during the pandemic.
If you need a visa, your odds are low. While it's not impossible (I did just have an Indian student coachee here in the US get offered a Visa), it is rare. I would highly recommend applying to countries where you have a visa.
There is no 'easy' office to get into. However there are offices that have fewer 1st choice applicants. In general the midwest (Mineappolis, Detroit etc.) and the Southern offices (Dallas, Atlanta, Houston) get fewer applicants compared to well known cities like NYC.
Visa for MBB is not an issue in the US if you are already here (either due to study or working). But if you are applying from a different country trying to start in the US that is going to be close to impossible.

Udayan
Hey there!
Never ever start looking for a job in consulting by looking for the "easy office". There are none. And as I always say, first of all, focus on your values and preferences! It is equally important when you choose a city to live in.
So, be very careful and prioritize your values in culture and etc.
All the best,
GB
Hello!
Easy answer: none.
Furthermore, interviewers are well trained, and the bar is equally high in all offices -even tough some have higher demand for little positions-.
Hope it helps!
Cheers,
