Hi all,

I have done my digital assessment 2 weeks ago, emailed HR 3 times last week to follow up on the result, and tried to schedule the initial call regarding the application process. However, I still haven't heard back from them, and no reply on scheduling the initial call as well. Does that mean I fail the digital assessment or the hiring process is paused? Anyone has any insights? Thank you!

Hi there,

McKinsey indeed normally provides replies for the Imbellus within 2 weeks.

Since you already wrote few emails, I would wait till Tuesday next week and then call directly HR to ask for an update.

I would not recommend to write further emails (3 in one week are already a lot!)

Best,

Francesco

Dear A,

Agree with Francesco here that 3 email in a week it's quite a lot. Just wait for couple days more and then call directly to HR.

Wish you best of luck,

André

Hi there,

It's very important here to practice patience!

Anytime you're looking to follow-up just think "Am I writing to affect the course of events or just for my peace of mind?" If it's the latter, don't email!

Fundamnetally, you should not reach out more than twice without a response. Again, you need to "save" your contact allowance for when they actually may have forgotten or de-prioritized things.

Please do not email them again and learn to practice some restraint - this is a lesson not jsut for recruiting but for your future professional life!

Hi there,

I agree with other experts, 3 mails to HR per one week is a lot!

I would recommend you wait in any case at least 2-3 weeks after the interview.

All the best,

They specify in their email that successful candidates will be notified by Nov 9.
