I'm currently in between several 1st round interviews and scheduled my first 2nd round interview. In case I will secure more 2nd round interviews, I would like to schedule these strategically for the scenario of receiving multiple offers. Therefore I have a few questions:

1. How accepted/normal is it to ask for some time to take an offer into consideration? Or could this be interpreted as not truely being interested in the firm?

2. How many days/weeks would seem reasonable to ask? Or should I ask the HR manager to name a deadline for desicion?

3. Is it smart to mention the true reason why you need to take it into consideration? (i.e. other upcoming 2nd rounds)

Best, L.

1) It's OK if you are an MBA student (who obviously has a lot of choices). Otherwise, it may indicate a lack of motivation. So I would hesitate to ask more than a couple of days.

2) see 1. Ask for a deadline

3) Nope (lack of motivation)

Congrats for moving to final round!

As it has been outlined, its very similar, but :

  • Cases you can expect are more "free riding" - less organized than the ones your found in the 1st round or most prep pages
  • Stronger emphasis in the FIT part, as outlined before by other coaches.

If you are interested in deepening your knowledge and preparation on the FIT part, the "Integrated FIT guide for MBB" has been recently published in PrepLounge´s shop (

It provides an end-to-end preparation for all three MBB interviews, tackling each firms particularities and combining key concepts review and a hands-on methodology. Following the book, the candidate will prepare his/her stories by practicing with over 50 real questions and leveraging special frameworks and worksheets that guide step-by-step, developed by the author and her experience as a Master in Management professor and coach. Finally, as further guidance, the guide encompasses over 20 examples from real candidates.

Furthermore, you can find 3 free cases in the PrepL case regarding FIT preparation:

- Intro and CV questions >

- Motivational questions >

- Behavioural questions (ENTREPRENEURIAL DRIVE) >

Feel free to PM me for disccount codes for the Integrated FIT Guide, since we still have some left from the launch!
