From the time you get the offer , how long do they give you usually before having to accept?
How long do you have to accept an MBB offer?

Hi,
1-2 weeks from when you receive the written offer in the mail sounds about right.
Some firms even host “sell dinners” for the cohort that received offers, where partners and consultants are in attendance as well, trying to convince the candidates that accepting the offer is a great idea.
In any case, it is pretty typical that HR/partners will suggest to put you in touch with additional people from the firm to “help” you in the decision making process before the deadline is up.

My first offer… I had 3 days to accept.
Honestly, looking back, it wasn't very correct of them.
My second offer, I had 2 weeks to take it. 2 weeks from receiving the offer in paper, which meant actually about 2 weeks + 2 days.

Hi,
In my case it was 2 weeks.
In between that, they also had some consultants / partners talk to me to help ‘sell’ the offer.
Hope this helps to clarify!

Hi!
Actually, it depends a lot on the region.
I've heard of anywhere from 48h to 2 weeks.
1 week is the most typical timeline.
You can push it if you have a good reason, but they don't really like that. If you're in the recruitment process with other firms, let them know so they move your interviewer to an earlier date.
Good luck!
Cristian

Hi Alanoud,
Q: How long do you have to accept an MBB offer?
It might depend on the office and position, but in general I would expect 1 or 2 weeks in most cases.

Francesco

Hi there,
Consulting job offers typically have an acceptance deadline. This varies across consulting firms and geographies.
In my particular case with McKinsey, offer acceptance period was 3 weeks.

Alberto

First of all, congrats, I understand that you have an offer. 1 week is a good and reasonable delay.
Hope this helps,
Cheers

Hi there,
They will tell you in the offer letter/offer email.
Generally, it's a week or two - if you need to extend you can try asking
