has an interview with bcg SEA in the final round and its been 7 days since i heard back.

I am interviewing as an experienced hire. Is this long wait normal? do i still stand a chance (eg is there anybody who waited 1 weeks + and get the offer? what is the time between the call and final round typically?)

Hi there,

This is very normal! I've had candidates wait weeks before hearing back.

There's a lot they need to sort through (including other interviews), so please just be patient!

If they haven't gotten back to you by the 3rd week, feel free to politely reach out for an update.

Fingers crossed for you!

Hello,

Recruiting timelines can vary, so there's no need to worry if you haven't heard back. They could be finalizing some things on their end, or reaching out to higher priority offers first. I would say that there's no harm in politely following up if it's been more than 1 week and you still haven't heard anything.

Hi there!

1 week is not a long time - ideally if you do not hear within 3 weeks - then you must write to HR/recruiting. There is no fixed trend in this.

If you are feeling terribly impatient then feel free to write now as well.
