Hi AskECON,

My name is Fabio and I've recently found out E·ON will takes over Innogy retail and distribution segment and the company will sell the remaining energy generation assets. Becoming in a company with only retail and distribution segments.

If I'm right, then, how this process would affect the Inhouse Consulting department?, and how change the career progression perspective for a Consultant who has recently got into the company.?

Best Regards,

Fabio Bernal

Hi Fabio,

Yes, if the takeover of RWE’s share of innogy and subsequent divestment of the renewable energy generation activities to RWE are approved by the relevant authorities, E.ON will focus on distribution networks and customer solutions. However, as the deal is not approved yet, I ask for your understanding that I can only communicate what is reported in the news and on our transaction website www.energyfortomorrow.de.

If the transaction gets approved as planned, E.ON will be a leading a customer solutions and distribution grid operator across Europe. Helping our colleagues across the business to solve their most pressing challenges e.g. driven by an ever more digital environment, will offer many interesting consulting project opportunities. Hence, we expect only positive impact on E.ON Inhouse Consulting as our services will continue to be in high demand.

The career progression for any consultant will not change: A promotion depends exclusively on the consultant’s individual performance. This has always been the case and will not change going forward.

The only other, obvious change regarding our projects is, that we will no longer do projects related to wind energy, as the renewables business will then be part of RWE.

I hope this answers your question.

Best regards,

Manuel
