Compensation differences between divisions at firms (AlixPartners)

Hello!

My question is about compensation differences between different practices within firms, specifically about AlixPartners, but I'm sure it would be helpful to people looking at other firms.

In Management Consulted's compensation guide, it lists what the current base salary and bonus is for AlixPartners candidates hired out of MBA programs. However, there are multiple divisions at this firm, and their experienced hire job postings have different ranges for the same level (e.g., VP) between the practices. When hiring out of MBA programs, does the compensation vary as well?

Hi there,

This should usually not be the case across practices unless the role description or position in the hierarchy might be (slightly) different or you are comparing salaries across countries.

Cheers,

Florian
