I'm quite late in applying to UK positions and discovered that most graduate hirings are closed. So I was wondering about the possibility to do a summer internship in consulting and potentially receiving a full-time offer right after?
Can I apply to summer internship as a final year master student?

Hi Jasmin,
This is indeed an interesting question which is probably relevant for quite a lot of users, so I am happy to provide my perspective on it:
- Generally speaking, in case summer internship applications are still open, I would advise you to give it a try. Especially given that post-internship offer rates are quite high at the moment, this certainly is not bad of an option.
- However, if summer internship applications are closed, I would advise you to simply apply for an off-cycle full-time position. This way, you would not even need to focus on receiving a post-internship offer.
In case you want a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming consulting interviews, please feel free to contact me directly.
I hope this helps,
Hagen

I think it is very unlikely that they will give you a summer internship. But the good news is that you can still apply off-cycle to the graduate hire position and start after the summer anyway.

Hi Jasmin,
if summer internship applications are still open I think this is a great strategy to consider.
Best,
Antonello

Hi there,
I'm honestly surprised summer internship applications are still open. Are you sure about this?
If they're open, it doesn't hurt to try!
